Saints' reserve side finished off their season in style this afternoon with a narrow win over Dundee United. Gary Mason scored the only goal for an incredibly young Saints side.

The midfielder may not be doing the business for the first team at the moment, but he certainly seems to be scoring for the reserves. He was one of just three first team regulars in the side, along with David Barron (and even that's stretching it this season) and Garry Brady. The only other starters that have seen first team action are Paul Mathers (who hasn't played for us), Andy Millen (hasn't played for over a year), Marc McAusland and Sean Burns (one sub appearance). Clearly everyone is being preserved for Hampden.

The SPL website is fairly useless so I've no idea where we are in the table - alkthough it seems we've got a good chance of finishing fourth.
