Saints boss Gus MacPherson has this afternoon revealed that strikers John Sutton and Billy Mehmet still haven't signed the contracts that have been offered to them. Meanwhile, five younger members of the squad have penned one year deals.
Sutton was offered a new contract some time ago, while Mehmet was offered his within the past fortnight. The longer things go on, the more it looks as if Sutton will go elsewhere, with his agent this morning touting him for a move to England. Mehmet could also be set to leave if he doesn't sign up soon, although it seems a bit strange as he has said he'd like to say. There is no deadline to the contract offers, contrary to what the national media have been saying this week. One year deals have now been signed by Stephen McGinn, David Barron, Marc McAusland, Ryan McCay and Mark Docherty - with everyone apart from McCay set to feature more next season due to the under 21 rule.
