Saints are set to make a move for Ayr United striker Stewart Kean after the transfer window opens in January. Saints tried signing the striker back in August but were unable to agree a fee with his current club.
Saints were the second club to try and sign Keane in the summer. St. Johnstone also trying before that. Their offer of around £30,000 was rejected, and so was our offer of £10,000 which was made after Ayr hit money problems. However, it looks like Kean will be leaving Ayr in the summer at the latest, as he looks set to reject their offer of a new contract.Kean has scored ten goals already this season and with Saints needing another striker it looks like he could be the ideal man. Let's hope the deal goes through in January, if not before then.
