Saints player Simon Lappin nothced his first Scotland goal in an under 20 match last night. Lappin is with the squad for their winter training camp in Portugal.

Lappin was at the same camp last season, though this time he won't miss any games. He was a sub last night, and after hitting the woodwork he scored an equaliser against portugal's under 20 side. According to reports it was with his right foot, pretty impressive considering he plays on the left wing and is useless with his right. Scotland won 2-1 with Bryan prunty of Celtic scoring a late winner.

Here's hoping this is the first of many Scotland goals for Simon.
