Former Saints manager Tom Hendrie could be set for a return to management with his former club Alloa Athletic. Hendrie was sacked by Saints in August 2002 and has been out of football ever since.

Sunday saw Alloa Athletic's manager, Terry Christie, resign. Hendrie was at Alloa before coming to Love Street, and could well end up back there as well as keeping whatever teaching job he currently has.

If Hendrie does indeed get the job, he should maybe wait a few weeks before deciding on his assistant manager, as he may be able to work with John Coughlin once again...
