It's exactly one year since Gus MacPherson was handed the St. Mirren manager's job. First it was as caretaker manager, then he managed to get the job permanently thanks to his good results.

There will be a feature on Mirren Mad next week to mark the occasion, seeing as how it wasn't until a week later that we actually played a game due to the weather. Gus replaced John Coughlin after another terrible result, and we have done well since then. After managing to avoid relegation, Saints are near the top of the table for the first time in years.

Gus's first game was against Queen of the South, who we play on Saturday. Another 2-1 win for Saints anyone?
