Former Saints boss John Coughlin has been appointed the new assistant manager of Rangers. That's Arniston Rangers, who are a junior side playing in the East Superleague.

Arniston haven't been doing too well this season, having lost a few players last summer. Last year they were near the top of the league, so have almost done the opposite of what Saints have done this year. How do I know all this? Simple. Arniston are one of the teams I report on when I'm at uni in the east, and I look forward to seeing John Work his magic.

Coughlin was a terrible Saints manager, winning hardly any games. He did manage to win the league with Tom Hendrie though for Saints, so maybe he won't be too bad an assistant.
