Saints made it into their second cup final of the season last night when they beat Hamilton Academical in the semi final of the Reserve League Cup. They will now face St. Johnstone in the final.
In November, Saints won the League Challenge Cup against Hamilton, and now have another chance to add a trophy to the cabinet. The final is a repeat of the one two years ago that took place at Love Street, with the visiting Saints winning 3-1. This year's final is also supposed to take place at Love Street and will be played sometime before the end of April.Last night's game saw Saints come from a goal behind to win 2-1, thanks to goals from John Baird and Robbie Weir. First teamers Chris Smith, Andy Millen and Brian McGinty all played as a youthful side took revenge for Hamilton's league win on Saturday.
Saints could book their spot in a third final on Tuesday when they face Viewfield Rovers in the semi final of the Renfrewshire Cup at Love Street.
