A youthful Saints second string were hammered by their Motherwell counterparts this afternoon as they managed no goals and gained no points in difficult conditions.

Reserves 2-1 Hamilton Academical	Tue 17 Mar
Saints' second string came from behind to record a fine win over Hamilton this afternoon. Goals from Dennis Wyness and Sean Burns saw the Buddies take all three points and hopefully create an omen for the weekend.

Craig Dargo haunted his former side this afternoon as the reserves saw off Inverness Caley Thistle at St. Mirren Park. The striker scored the only goal of the game with 20 minutes.

Like the first team, the reserves blew a chance to win when they conceded a late goal to Falkirk this afternoon. Gary Mason was the scorer for a relatively strong Saints side.

After a two month break, the SPL reserve league got back in action today and Saints kicked off the second half of the season by producing a poor performance that saw them lose to a weak Celtic side.

Saints suffered a defeat in their final reserve game of the year this afternoon when they lost to Rangers at Murray Park. On the plus side Gary Mason, Billy Mehmet and Tonet all played after recovering from injuries.

A superb Jim Hamilton free-kick ten minutes from time ensured Saints won the last ever reserve game to be played at Love Street. A mixture of first team players and talented youngsters put in a fine performance to take all three points.

The reserves lost to Hibs by the odd goal in five at Love Street this afternoon. Jim Hamilton and Stephen McGinn both scored for Saints before the visitors grabbed the winner with ten minutes left.

The reserves notched up their second win in a row this afternoon to move up to the heady heights of third in the league. Andy Dorman and Ben Carson scored second goals to give Saints all three points.
