New Contracts Agreed

Six Saints players have agreed to extend their stay with Saints for another year. Club captain Kevin McGowne and Alan Reid are the biggest of the six names, with the other four being youngsters John Baird, David McKenna, Craig Molloy and Ryan McCay.

Saints could be staying at Love Street for a little longer after it was revealed talks to sell the ground are not progressing as quickly as was hoped. Saints are hoping to sell Love Street to a supermarket chain and build a new stadium on Greenhill Road in order to clear the club's debt.

Club Re-Think Season Tickets

Saints have revealed that they will offer parent and child season tickets for the North Bank after all. When the ticket prices for the SPL campaign were announced on Wednesday, the only place such tickets were available for was the Reid Kerr Stand.

Season Ticket Prices Announced

Saints have today released details of the prices of season tickets for next season. Understandably there have been price increases with SPl football to prepare for, but discounts are being offered to people who buy their ticket before 11th June.

Former Saints Clear Out At Brechin

Three former Saints players have been told they are now longer required by new Brechin City manager Michael O'Neill. Alex Burns and Ally Mitchell have been released, whilst Scott Walker has been put on the transfer list.

Undersoil Heating To Be Installed

Work to install undersoil heating at Love Street will begin next week after the club withdrew their request to the SPL for a year's grace. The system is expected to cost upwards of £150,000, although bits of it can be used at the new stadium.

Adam Gets Another Call Up

Saints on loan midfielder Charlie Adam has been handed his second call up to the Scotland under 21 squad. The Rangers player made his debut for the national side at Firhill a few months ago and has been named in the squad to face Northern Ireland and Turkey at the end of the season.

Reilly To Retire

Saints midfielder Mark Reilly has announced that he will retire from football at the end of the season to concentrate on his business interests. The reserve team coach has been with the club for two years.

Make Mine A Treble!

Saints picked up their third piece of silverware of the season last night when they beat St. Johnstone in the final of the Reserve League Cup. Goals from Mark Reilly and Mark Docherty were enough for a 2-1 win.

Open Top Bus Tour Announced

Saturday night will see Saints double winning squad parade through the streets of Paisley with the first division trophy and the Bell's Cup. The tour will be the culmination of a series of events throughout the day to celebrate the team's success this season.

Management Duo Agree New Deals

Saints boss Gus MacPherson and his assistant Andy Millen have both agreed to new contracts. The new deals will last until the end of season 2007/08 and mean that any club who wishes to lure them away from Saints will have to pay a hefty sum.

Close Result In Keepers Poll

Mirren Mad's latest poll, which was about who should have been Saints keeper for the rest of the season (it's an old poll) produced a close result, with young keeper Chris Smith just edging it from Tony Bullock.

Saints Chase Holt

Saints are supposedly lining up former Kilmarnock midfielder Gary Holt as their first signing as they start preparations for next season's SPL campaign. Holt has not enjoyed the best of seasons at Nottingham Forest and played alongside Saints boss Gus MacPherson at Killie.

Broadfoot Up For Award

Kirk Broadfoot has been nominated for this season's first division player's player of the year award. The big defender is one of five nominees, and his selection has surprised some Saints supporters.

Saints boss Gus MacPherson believes that the club will have to install under heating at Love Street to play in the SPL next season. Saints are currently seeking dispensation to avoid wasting money on installing a system that will be obsolete within a year.

Saints edge closer to title

St Mirren today beat Ross County 2-0, with goals from Kean and Sutton. It was 3 points won and the championship is all but ours! A terrific away support of around 1200 were there to witness the victory.

Former Saint Heading For Germany?

Former Saint Jose Quitongo could find himself playing on the world's biggest stage this summer. The winger has been called up to the squad of World Cup new boys Angola for their games at the end of April.

Saints Track Strachan

Saints are apparently interested in signing Hartlepool United's Gavin Strachan should they clinch promotion to the SPL in the next few weeks. The midfielder's contract expires in the summer and is also attracting interest from Dundee United.

Another Cup Final

Saints made it into their second cup final of the season last night when they beat Hamilton Academical in the semi final of the Reserve League Cup. They will now face St. Johnstone in the final.

Ross County Tickets Go On Sale

Tickets have gone on sale for Saturday's crucial match against Ross County at Dingwall. All games at Victoria Park are all ticket, however County have decided to start selling tickets a few days before the game.
