Mirren Mad is now back in action, but it seems I've missed sod all in the last week or so. No signings, no one leaving, in fact it's been all quiet down at Love Street.

Well, for ten days or so anyway. Due to the fact I have a university exam to prepare for, the exam strangely being scheduled for next Saturday, there will sadly be no more updates on Mirren Mad for a while.

Saints Heading For Europe!	Thu 18 May
Calm down, we're not going into the UEFA Cup. It's all part of the build up for the new season, as in the second week of July the Saints squad will be going to Austria for a week long training camp.

Pre-Season Schedule Takes Shape	Thu 18 May
Saints have announced two more pre-season games to add to the friendly with Partick Thistle and the Renfrewshire Cup Friendly, sorry, Final, against Morton.

Vanzy Stays!	Wed 17 May
Saints have announced this afternoon that David van Zanten has agreed to stay at Love Street. It looked as if the right wing back's future lay elsewhere after his contract expired and there was no sign of him agreeing a new deal.

Kirk Gets Capped	Wed 17 May
Saints Kirk Broadfoot picked up another cap for the Scotland under 21 side when he played the full ninety minutes against Northern Ireland last night. Former Saint Charlie Adam also played the full game.

Two Sign Up as Vanzy Gets Ready to Leave	Mon 15 May
There is good news and bad news for Saints fans this afternoon. The good news is that both Simon Lappin and Mark Corcoran have pledged their futures to Saints. The bad news is that David van Zanten has rejected his new deal and looks set to leave.

Saints To Play Thistle	Tue 09 May
Saints only home friendly of the summer will be played against Partick Thistle on Tuesday 25th July, just a few days before the SPL season kicks off. There will be no other friendlies at Love Street this year due to the installation of undersoil heating.

New Contracts Agreed	Mon 08 May
Six Saints players have agreed to extend their stay with Saints for another year. Club captain Kevin McGowne and Alan Reid are the biggest of the six names, with the other four being youngsters John Baird, David McKenna, Craig Molloy and Ryan McCay.

Saints Love Affair To Continue?	Sun 07 May
Saints could be staying at Love Street for a little longer after it was revealed talks to sell the ground are not progressing as quickly as was hoped. Saints are hoping to sell Love Street to a supermarket chain and build a new stadium on Greenhill Road in order to clear the club's debt.

Club Re-Think Season Tickets	Fri 05 May
Saints have revealed that they will offer parent and child season tickets for the North Bank after all. When the ticket prices for the SPL campaign were announced on Wednesday, the only place such tickets were available for was the Reid Kerr Stand.

Season Ticket Prices Announced	Wed 03 May
Saints have today released details of the prices of season tickets for next season. Understandably there have been price increases with SPl football to prepare for, but discounts are being offered to people who buy their ticket before 11th June.

Former Saints Clear Out At Brechin	Tue 02 May
Three former Saints players have been told they are now longer required by new Brechin City manager Michael O'Neill. Alex Burns and Ally Mitchell have been released, whilst Scott Walker has been put on the transfer list.

Six years ago today, Saints clinched the first division championship. At around 5pm on 29th April 2000, Saints captain Tommy Turner lifted the first division trophy.

Undersoil Heating To Be Installed	Thu 27 Apr
Work to install undersoil heating at Love Street will begin next week after the club withdrew their request to the SPL for a year's grace. The system is expected to cost upwards of £150,000, although bits of it can be used at the new stadium.

Adam Gets Another Call Up	Thu 27 Apr
Saints on loan midfielder Charlie Adam has been handed his second call up to the Scotland under 21 squad. The Rangers player made his debut for the national side at Firhill a few months ago and has been named in the squad to face Northern Ireland and Turkey at the end of the season.

Reilly To Retire	Thu 27 Apr
Saints midfielder Mark Reilly has announced that he will retire from football at the end of the season to concentrate on his business interests. The reserve team coach has been with the club for two years.

Make Mine A Treble!	Thu 27 Apr
Saints picked up their third piece of silverware of the season last night when they beat St. Johnstone in the final of the Reserve League Cup. Goals from Mark Reilly and Mark Docherty were enough for a 2-1 win.

Open Top Bus Tour Announced	Wed 26 Apr
Saturday night will see Saints double winning squad parade through the streets of Paisley with the first division trophy and the Bell's Cup. The tour will be the culmination of a series of events throughout the day to celebrate the team's success this season.

Management Duo Agree New Deals	Wed 26 Apr
Saints boss Gus MacPherson and his assistant Andy Millen have both agreed to new contracts. The new deals will last until the end of season 2007/08 and mean that any club who wishes to lure them away from Saints will have to pay a hefty sum.

Close Result In Keepers Poll	Tue 25 Apr
Mirren Mad's latest poll, which was about who should have been Saints keeper for the rest of the season (it's an old poll) produced a close result, with young keeper Chris Smith just edging it from Tony Bullock.

Saints Chase Holt	Mon 24 Apr
Saints are supposedly lining up former Kilmarnock midfielder Gary Holt as their first signing as they start preparations for next season's SPL campaign. Holt has not enjoyed the best of seasons at Nottingham Forest and played alongside Saints boss Gus MacPherson at Killie.

Broadfoot Up For Award	Wed 19 Apr
Kirk Broadfoot has been nominated for this season's first division player's player of the year award. The big defender is one of five nominees, and his selection has surprised some Saints supporters.

Undersoil Heating To Be Installed	Tue 18 Apr
Saints boss Gus MacPherson believes that the club will have to install under heating at Love Street to play in the SPL next season. Saints are currently seeking dispensation to avoid wasting money on installing a system that will be obsolete within a year.

New Contracts For Management Duo	Mon 17 Apr
Saints chairman Stewart Gilmour has revealed that he is hopeufl of getting manager Gus MacPherson and assistant Andy Millen to sign contract extensions sometime this week. Both have another year left on their current deals.
