BUDDIES TOP STORY:
The last ever league game at Love Street involving one half of the Old Firm is to be shown live on satellite television. Celtic's trip to Paisley in November has, unsurprisingly, been selected for coverage by Setanta.
OTHER CLUB HEADLINES:
Saints will take on Dunfermline Athletic in a few weeks time for a place in the quarter-finals of the Co-operative Insurance League Cup. The tie will be played at East End Park on either September 23 or 24.
After Tuesday's goalfest, it was back to normal against Aberdeen with the traditional "nil" added to the club's name once again. However, it shouldn't have been, with Billy Mehmet missing two golden first half chances to put Saints in front.
Tomorrow is the last game before the international break and Saints will be hoping to go into that period with their first league win of the season under their belts. Can we finally beat Aberdeen?
On the night Billy Mehmet scored his first career hat-trick, another Saints player managed to go two better for Scotland, with Conor Ramsay scoring all five goals for Scotland under-16s as they beat Jersey under-18s 5-1.
Two Saints players have been called up to the latest Scotland under-21 squad. Scott Cuthbert and Chris Smith have been named in the squad for the upcoming games against Slovenia and Denmark.
There was no repeat of last year's League Cup disaster as Saints destroyed Dumbarton to progress to the next round. Billy Mehmet was the star of the show with a hat-trick but overall it was asuperb team performance.
Could this be the final league cup game ever played at Love Street? If it turns out to be, Saints will need to put in a good performance against Dumbarton to ensure things end in style and avoid last year's embarrassment.
Saints poor start to the season continued this afternoon with a narrow defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle. The grand total of one goal and one point after the first three league games does not make for good reading!
Saints return to a happy hunting ground tomorrow when they take on Hearts at Tynecastle. We've plundered seven points from our last four trips there - can we make it ten from five?
